We all from time to time love the magic that happens in the kitchen when we baked for our friends, family or treat ourselves to something sweet, comforting and DELICIOUS!

Channel your inner Martha Stewart this fall & winter season by trying something new instead of being the 6th person to bring a pumpkin pie to your next gathering!

Here’s some easy, fun and Delicious recipes that will win you “brownie points” from everyone including yourself!

Midwest Harvest Pumpkin Dip


  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup frozen whipped cream, thawed
  • 1 bag of Old Fashioned Gingers cookies(can be broken in half for dipping), apples, or cinnamon graham cracker sticks


  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add in pumpkin, sour cream, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and ginger. Mix well.
  • Fold in the thawed whipped cream.
  • Serve with green apples, graham cracker sticks, or Delicious Old Fashioned Gingers.
  • Store in refrigerator.


Old Fashioned Ginger Pumpkin Trifle


  • 2 bags of Old Fashioned Gingers
  • 1 1/2 (15-oz) cans pure pumpkin
  • 1 (1 oz) box no sugar added instant vanilla (or butterscotch) pudding mix
  • 1 cup fat free milk (or milk substitute of choice)
  • 1 tbs brown sugar (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (or pumpkin pie spice!)
  • 2 (12-ounce) containers light whipped topping


  • Crumble both bags of Old Fashioned Gingers Cookies in a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix together for about 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Stir in 1 container of cool whip, and 1/2 can of pumpkin, brown sugar, and spices until well blended.
  • In a trifle bowl or (a large pretty glass serving bowl), layer the bottom of the trifle dish with crumbled old fashioned gingers cookies, half of the pudding/pumpkin mixture, another layer of Old Fashioned Gingers Cookies, and half of the whipped topping. Repeat layers until the trifle glass is filled to the top. (It looks great to end with the whip cream layer!)
  • Garnish with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice or more crushed Old Fashioned Gingers Cookies if desired. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until ready to serve. (Also tastes great when made the night before!)

Note: *It’s very festive to use wineglasses or individual dessert glasses for individual trifles!


Spiced Berry Cream Pie


  • 2 bags of Old Fashioned Gingers cookies
  • 1/3 c. walnut halves
  • 2 T. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 – 8 oz. package of 1/3 less fat cream cheese
  • 1 – 5.3 oz. container of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 c. pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup of sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a food processor combine Old Fashioned Gingers, walnuts, and butter. Food process to a some what fine texture. Press mixture into a lightly buttered 8″ pie pan and bake on a cookie sheet for about 8 minutes or until lightly browned.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese, yogurt, maple syrup, and lemon juice until smooth. After the ginger snap mixture has cooled, pour the cream cheese mixture on top. Place the sliced strawberries and blueberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.

Place in refrigerator to set for at least 1 hour. Recipe makes 8 servings.
